Letter Portrait:

The steps present in the creation of the below image were very simple for this mini project. First I went around and collected several dozen images in the shape of letters from around the school both of mine own engineering and of natural origin. Then after collecting the images in such a collection as to be able to spell my name i gathered my images and added them together to make my final product.

Art as Communication

1.Do you feel you met or approached the project rationale? Use evidence to explain why/why not.

Yes the project was constructed in educating us on the ancient history of art and that we have undoubtedly done with a series of lectures on the ancient artistic works of early humans and hominid ancestors. The concept of art as a form of communication is thus interlinked within this concept and thus the two subjects were taught in par.

2.What is considered art?

Something altered beyond selection or application. In other words something altered for no applicable usage.

3. How does context effect works of art?

Context in relation to art is a crucial aspect in relation to an understanding of meaning in relation to the intended message or communication of art. Without understanding of the context of art we cannot hope to truly understand the art.

Distance and proportion

Scale:The size of an object

Proportion:The size of objects relative to other objects

Foreground: The frontal image closest to the view point

Middle-ground:The secondary image from the viewpoint

Background:The backdrop of an image

Zipped Files: A compressed form of a file that uses less data

Extracted files:A open file that uses prepossessed data

My Favorite tools on Photoshop are the pen tool and the warp tool as both can be used to make an image fit in smoother.

Step 1: First I began by selecting a shape around the ogres mouth and then stretching out his teeth into a horrendous abomination.

Step 2: I used the warp tool to reshape his face so that the lines around his mouth were twisted

Step 3:Warp tool to stretch out the tips of his fingers into claws

Step 4:Using the Paintbrush tool to paint the eyes black after zooming in very far to the point of painting by individual pixels

Step 5:Painting red mark using paintbrush tool

Design your own project:

Level Design with Unity

Steps Taken

-Whitebox (loose internal structure of asset or "outline" of product)

-Greybox (texturing and asset addition to create greater structure)

-Lighting and Physics (ensuring that the product is capable of functioning under the defined parameters)

-Polish (final pass and improvement to product)

This project designed to be a median to the previous projects was one where we selected out own final products. I chose to produce the cave scene as I have always enjoyed the act of making 3D environments ans saw this as an opportunity to do such. I plan to use the skills to develop my professional career and maybe get a job in game or environment design. I plan to use my newly polished knowledge on reflection of firelight on stone and the physics of fire burning out of air. I also managed to get a few small tidbits about how to use a 3D animators reflection physics. In total my skills regarding item placement have not improved but my capabilities regarding physical and visual interaction between assets have. I hope too further develop my physical prediction in the coming years.
